At the LB Studio, working heavily in Figma and Adobe Suite to deliver pristine and efficacious newsletters, emails, mobile ads, mockups, social content in addition to print collateral for each individual food brand.
A detailed branding project consisting of various deliverables including packaging, print and digital.
A 2 part branding project that started with creating a typoghraphical logo for the company which was further expanded
with brand assets and print desgins for marketing. The deliverables included logo, brand assets, print production, posters, award certificates
gift pouch design and character illustrations.
Not A Riot, a educational lost created by a group of scholars and professors to clarify the current events and riots due to the BLM movement.
I created various carousel posts for their Instagram page.
The posts consisted of info provided by the website and designed to better convey the message across. The design consisted of typography and vector illustration.
Women's History Month Posters: School of Athena + The Summit
These two images were created for Borough of Manhattan Community College's Women's HerStory Month and women's conference.
School of Athena and The Summit are a 2 part illustration series.
SCHOOL of ATHENA is about visionary women working towards peace and non-violence. This Illustration is modeled after
the famous School of Athens by the famous Italian renaissance painter Raphael.
It includes all women who have had and are making a difference in our world.
THE SUMMIT is an illustration I have been working on is about visionary women working towards peace and non-violence.
Parts of these illustrations are based on the fresco: Parnassus by the famous Italian painter Raphael.
These illustrations were used for promotional posters, college website and main conference visuals.
As part of my senior portofolio class, I developmed my personal brand identity. The reason I use a hexagon for my main icon
is because the symbolic and natural presense of a hexagon has a very personal connection to me. The details also imply my constant
use of intricate detailing within my designs. Hence an Intricate Ruby as my key icon and symbol.
Naqsh (or Lovely Humans) is a branding project for a cafe design using the art of henna and its traditional
roots and values to empower women of Pakistan and to bring them and other marginalized communities in Lahore
more employment opportunities. Like other cafés in Pakistan, the Henna Café will educate the underprivileged
communities in the traditional art of henna, creating new economic opportunities and a sense of inclusion.
To avoid controversy in the patriarchal environment, this message is communicated subtly in the brand
identity by integrating the geometric and vegetal patterns inherent to henna art with a decorative fusion of
Latin alphabet and Urdu lettering. In addition, the brand will instate the means of repurposing materials with
underlying impressions of rethinking life and personal choices.
Promoting equality and inclusion, the café will also serve as a ‘safe haven’ for those affected by social degrading
and blind hate. The deliverables will include a Naqsh Style Guide, wallpaper patterns, business and loyalty cards,
work apparel, nametags, and café utilities such as coasters, cups, sleeves, and napkins. My collaterals will include
food labels, pastry boxes, and wrappings. In addition, I will produce audio for background music, which will consist
of poems by Naheed. All of these will incorporate the concept of repurposing materials as DIY projects.
Style Guide design for the Naqsh cafe brand. An undergrad Design thesis focusing on brand identity.
The styles guide is completely hand cut and hand bound. The layout design and creative interaction is a
direct display of the use of obscurity and also serves as a guide where the messages are hidden throughout
the design collateral. The creative design was inspired from Jonathan Safran Foer's book Tree of Codes.
This was part of my 2D Illustration class at The City College. The project was about illustrating a day's progression of an object.
For this, I chose my hat as it is an iconic part of my dress and I'm alwasy recognized by it.
As part of a final project for my bookbinding class at CCNY, this book design is a literal hand of traditional henna designs.
The covers and pages were lasercut and each page was customized, displaying a henna design uniquely. The cover of the Henna book
is designed using real henna.
For the final in portfolio class, I created a print portfolio which consists of a custom design and layout.
I ustilised my knowledge of book making and screenprinting to create every bit that makes up this book.
The book uses assets from my personal brand identity to create a recurrent presence.
The interval pages were screenprinted on alternating colored cardstock pages. The context pages were printed and mounted
on vellum paper to make them sturdy. While the outside cover is crafted with heavy book board coverd in book cloth.
The front cover has an embossed logo which was achieved by mounting a lasercut of my personal logo. The closure for the book
was done through magnet clips.
